PFN Malaysia, MS Global Freight Solution, recently moved a machine and accessories from Port Klang, Malaysia to Alexandria, Egypt on a RORO vessel. Since the cargo was urgently needed by the consignee, we looked for space on the next immediate vessel but the request was rejected initially due to space constraints.

We finally received booking confirmation but 2 days before vessel arrival. We had to rush to arrange inland transportation, customs clearance, and port application within a very limited time. There were several changes with cargo details till we found the actual dimensions were much larger than the packing list last minute. We had to adjust mafi stowage plan inside the port considering space and weight balance but managed to squeeze static items on 2 x mafi as initially planned. Coordinating within an extremely tight schedule was very challenging especially during the lockdown and the Muslim Ramadan period since cargo would be shut out with any single hiccup but we managed smoothly and all the items sailed as booked.” Says ; Hiroyuki Shiono, Director of MS Global Freight Solution, Malaysia.

Details: Total 15 pieces 157 tons 245cbm
Largest item – main unit  8.50 3.70 3.60 meters 68300kg
Longest item – kelly bar  17.60 0.83 0.83 meters 15000kg
