Transporting large and heavy cargo can be a challenging task, especially when it involves transporting furnace components for the power and energy sector. Recently, Tschudi Logistics, an exclusive member of the Project Freight Network (PFN) in Poland, took on this challenge and successfully delivered approximately 410 tons and 2000 cbm of out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo for a client in Portugal.

The cargo was collected from two locations, Lapua in Finland and Racibórz in Poland, and transported to the final destination in Portugal. The total weight of the cargo was approximately 500 tons, and it consisted of furnace components. Transporting such heavy and oversized cargo requires careful planning and coordination to ensure that the cargo reaches its destination safely and on time.

Tschudi Logistics in Poland worked closely with their office in Finland to coordinate the logistics of the project. They used their expertise in handling heavy and oversized cargo to plan the best route and mode of transportation for the cargo. They also ensured that all the necessary permits and documentation were in place to facilitate the transportation of the cargo.

The project was executed smoothly, and the cargo was delivered to the client’s site in Portugal without any incidents. The successful completion of this project is a testament to Tschudi Logistics’ expertise in handling heavy and oversized cargo and their commitment to delivering high-quality services to their clients.

In conclusion, transporting heavy and oversized cargo requires specialized knowledge and expertise, and Tschudi Logistics has demonstrated that they have what it takes to handle such projects. Their successful delivery of furnace components to Portugal is a testament to their capabilities, and they continue to be a valuable member of the Project Freight Network.
